Data Deletion Instructions

At ImagineAI, we respect your right to control your data. This page provides clear instructions on how to request deletion of your account and all associated data, in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and other privacy laws.

Method 1: Delete via ImagineAI App (Recommended)

The fastest and easiest way to delete your account:

Open the ImagineAI app on your device
Navigate to the Parent Profile screen (accessible from the main menu)
Scroll down to the "Account Management" section
Tap the "Delete Account" button (red button at the bottom)
Confirm your decision when prompted
Done! Your account and all data will be permanently deleted

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Make sure to export your data first if you want to keep a copy.

Method 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, email us directly:

Please include your registered email address in your request. We will process your deletion within 48 hours.

What Data Will Be Deleted?

When you delete your account, all of the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

Account Information

Your email address and authentication credentials
Account creation date and settings
All login history

Child Profile Data

Child's name, nickname, date of birth, and gender
Personality traits and interests
Favorite things (colors, animals, activities)
Physical characteristic descriptions (generated from photos)
Note: We never store original photos

Family & Pet Information

Names and relationships of all family members
Family member descriptions and characteristics
Pet names, types, breeds, and traits
All associated text descriptions

Story Data

All generated stories and their content
Story illustrations and images
Story preferences and themes
Story creation history

Settings & Preferences

Language and localization settings
Country, measurement units, date format, currency
All app preferences and customizations

Important: Deletion is Permanent

This action cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems. You will not be able to recover your stories, character profiles, or any other information.

Recommendation: Export your data before deleting your account if you want to keep a copy for your records.

Deletion Timeline

Immediate (App Deletion)

Your account is deactivated immediately. You will no longer be able to log in or access any data.

Within 30 Days (Complete Deletion)

All your data is permanently purged from our production databases, backups, and third-party processors (Anthropic, OpenAI). This includes any temporary copies or cached data.

Legal Retention

We may retain minimal records (email address only) for legal compliance purposes if required by law, but all personal content and stories are deleted.

Want to Keep a Copy? Export Before Deleting

Before you delete your account, you can export all your data in JSON format:

Open the ImagineAI app
Go to Parent Profile
Tap "Export All Data"
Save the JSON file to your device
Now you can safely delete your account

This export includes all your children's profiles, family members, pets, stories, and settings in a machine-readable format that you can transfer to another service or keep for your records.

Your Data Protection Rights

Under GDPR and other privacy laws, you have the following rights:

Right to Erasure (Article 17): Request deletion of all your data
Right to Data Portability (Article 20): Export your data in a portable format
Right to Access (Article 15): View all data we hold about you
Right to Rectification (Article 16): Update or correct your information
Right to Object (Article 21): Object to processing of your data

Third-Party Data Deletion

Your data is also processed by third-party AI services. When you delete your account, we ensure deletion from all processors:

Anthropic (Claude AI): Story generation data is deleted from their systems
OpenAI (GPT-4, DALL-E): Image generation and photo analysis data is removed
Supabase (Database): All database records are permanently deleted

According to these services' data retention policies, API request data is automatically purged after 30 days.
